Work Objective:
Design promotional poster for band.

Concept:
Music has a measurable effect on your physiology. In this poster a man is trapped on an island of rock surrounded by an intimidating environment overrun with inclement conditions. A massive waterfall is stripping land away, a volcano is erupting violently, and a tornado is ripping the hillside away. He needs a miracle to escape from this world alive. In front of him a door descends from the clouds and he's bathed by the green light of an exit sign. Music is the metaphorical exit door for your mind, offering a return to peace.
Process:
Here are a couple snapshots behind the scenes of how this piece was made. The first image is where I was at 15 hours into the project, blocking in colors and developing details. The second is the intial sketch I started with.
